Big Results Require Big Ambition

“When you become lazy, it’s disrespectful to those who believe in you”

I just saw a similar quote on s friends snapchat story and it prompted me to stop being lazy and write this post. You see Monday is one of my new posting days (Mondays and Thursdays in case you hadn’t noticed).

I’ve been thinking of what to write about since last week and a number of things sprang to mind but a combination of procrastination and lack of preparation meant that I was contemplating simply uploading an image and calling it a day.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing criminal about solely posting an image. But, when the plan was to write something [of substance], a picture alone is me falling short of my goal and I’ve given up, giving up.

I understand why some of the people closest to me get frustrated at times because I can be very laid back when it comes to things I personally want to execute. Their frustration is born from the fact that I was the complete opposite growing up.

I could try to give you a synopsis of when things changed and why but that isn’t the point of this post. The only relevant thing at present is that I’m reverting back to type. This is me encouraging myself, and hopefully you too, and letting you know that whatever it is you’ve been putting off – start NOW.

My mum always reminded us growing up that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Consistency and [measured] honesty are my first steps. Plus, I don’t want to be disrespectful to the numerous people rooting for me.

Do you?
